It's really sad that the owners/managers of this building haven't figured out a way to increase foot traffic from the thousands of neighbors who live in the high rises less than a block away. Hopefully they'll be able to do so before two brand new high rise apartment buildings open in the coming years. As a neighbor, I enjoy walking through on my way to/from work, especially in bad weather. However, as other reviewers mentioned, the building owners/managers recently welded the door closest to Exchange Place PATH station shut, and intermittently lock the rotating doors that are next-closest, making it clear that we are not welcome. The various food shops are closed whenever I try to go to them, and there is very little information online as to the hours and different offerings. None of them are going to survive without increased weekend and evening foot traffic, which wooing the neighbors could provide. For example, we used to go for ice cream at Frozen Therapy until it abruptly shuttered. Until this space is made more welcoming and a place to gather and get food during non-work hours, I'll head west to Grove Street for my food and entertainment.

All the doors are locked over the weekend other than one entrance. You can’t even figure out how to get into the food court without walking all the way around the complex just to find an open entrance. The whole vibe is incredibly unwelcoming. I really miss the old Harborside, which used to be a great community gathering spot for kids and families. It’s no wonder the businesses inside this complex are struggling.

So ugly choose to close during coldest winter or rainy days so public can’t pass through while opening in the good weather. Learn how to do good for public as public space for the 1st floor!

Pop up Hermes Shop
